We are very excited to share a full year of fun and fellowship on Wednesday nights with the Solid Rock Cafe at Morning Star beginning at 5:30 PM. The dinners prepared each week are made with love and a desire to serve others. We are so grateful that so many volunteers have returned to cook this year, and hope that the number of people attending each week will grow, adding to the festive atmosphere we all enjoy. Thanks to the newbies, also those deciding to join us on cooking teams. If you didn’t get a chance to volunteer for a cooking team, it’s not too late. We can add you to a team. Call Ric or Pam Miller.
We invite everyone to participate in these feast and fellowship opportunities. It’s not just for people with children in Children’s Choir — we have people from all age and event groups attend from retired members to those coming for adult choir practice and confirmation families coming for confirmation class. The Solid Rock Café is for people of all ages and we invite everyone to attend!
Our last Wednesday dinner of the season was March 24:

Green Envelope for July is
Hospice
House — The Josie Harper Residence.
At times, individuals with terminal illnesses need care that cannot be provided
in their own home. For these individuals, Hospice House
— The Josie Harper Residence offers care and a
place to call home.
Sponsored by Alegent Health, Methodist Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association, and the Nebraska Medical Center, Hospice House is a comfortable, home-like hospice facility for those who have chosen non-curative, comfort care. Some will stay a few days, some a few weeks, and others several months.

WE HAVE VERY GOOD NEWS!!
WITH YOUR HELP WE CAN BE DEBT FREE.
If you have not returned your pledge, please do it now. We are still
waiting for 115 active members to respond to our recent URGENT REQUEST mailing.
We are very happy to report that one of our own member families came forward and
purchased the 4 rental homes. In addition, a member has matched the
$25,000 challenge and 40 active members have submitted pledges.
Thankfully, our debt has been greatly reduced from $1,170,000 to $280,000.
This remaining debt must be eliminated now to assure a secure future for the
church we all love. (There is no surplus income for debt payments.)
If you have questions or comments, please call Jim McGill or Morey Jensen via
the church office.
Building Up in Faith is the theme for our current capital campaign. Just about every corner of our church home is receiving a dramatic improvement. And those areas not under remodel are receiving fresh paint and a little attention. For more details, click here.
